Privacy policy
Last updated September 11, 2026
Flank LLC is a Wyoming limited liability company. "Flank", "we" and "us" mean Flank LLC. This policy covers four things: this website, the Flank service that our customers sign in to, the tracking that Flank runs on our customers' websites on their behalf, and the ways we communicate with you, including text messages. We have kept it short and specific. If something here is unclear, ask us and we will answer plainly.
What Flank is
Flank is an ad tracking and attribution service for businesses that run paid ads. A customer connects their Google Ads and Meta ad accounts to Flank, installs Flank's tracking on their own website, and connects the place their leads or orders land, such as a CRM. Flank then shows the customer which ads produced which leads, appointments, jobs or orders and what each one cost, and sends those outcomes back to Google and Meta so the platforms can optimise the customer's ads on real results.
If you visit withflank.com
- Information you give us. Your website address, email address, name, company and phone number when you fill in a form, and the contents of any message you send us.
- Website analytics. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited), plus our own tracking, which records the pages you visit and where the visit came from, such as the ad or search result that brought you here. It sets one first-party cookie on withflank.com, named
crm_vid, holding a random visitor id, for up to 400 days. That data lives in our own database. We also load the Meta pixel on this site to measure our own ads.
We use this to reply to you, to look at your website before a setup call, to provide the service you asked about, and to keep records of our work together. If you arrived through one of our ads, we may send that platform a conversion signal so it can measure whether the ad worked.
If you have a Flank account
We hold your name, email address, company name, the settings you choose, and billing records. Card details are entered on Stripe's pages and stored by Stripe; Flank never sees a full card number. We use this to run your account, bill you, and tell you about changes to the service. We do not sell it and we do not use it for anyone else's advertising.
Google user data
Flank uses Google APIs in two ways, and only with your explicit permission through Google's consent screen.
- Sign in with Google. If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture, and we use them to create and sign you in to your Flank account. Nothing else.
- Google Ads. If you connect a Google Ads account, we access the list of Google Ads accounts you can manage, the campaigns, ad groups, ads and keywords in the accounts you choose, their daily performance (spend, impressions, clicks and conversions), the conversion actions defined in those accounts, and the Google click identifiers attached to visits on your own website. We use this data to show you cost per lead, appointment and customer reports inside your Flank account, to create or match the conversion actions you choose, and to send conversion events for your own outcomes to your own Google Ads account through Google's Data Manager API. We do not use it for any other purpose.
Google user data is stored encrypted in transit and at rest on servers run by Cloudflare and Neon, our hosting and database providers, under agreements that forbid them from using it. Access tokens are stored encrypted and are used only to make the requests described above. Nobody at Flank reads your Google data except to fix a problem you have asked us to look at, or where the law or the security of the service requires it. We do not sell Google user data, we do not share it with anyone except Google itself and the providers that host Flank, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles or to train models.
You can disconnect Google Ads at any time in your Flank account under Settings, Integrations, or by removing Flank at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Disconnecting deletes the access token immediately and the data we read from the account within 30 days.
Flank's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Meta data
If you connect a Meta business through Facebook Login for Business, we access the list of businesses, ad accounts and datasets (pixels) you can manage, the campaigns, ad sets and ads in the accounts you choose, their daily performance (spend, impressions, clicks and results), and the custom conversions defined in those accounts. We use this to show you cost per lead, appointment and customer reports, to add tracking parameters to ads only where you have asked us to, to create the custom conversions you choose, and to send conversion events for your own outcomes to your own dataset through Meta's Conversions API. We do not post, message, or read anything from your Pages or Instagram accounts, and we do not ask for permission to.
Meta data is stored and protected the same way as Google user data above. You can disconnect at any time in your Flank account under Settings, Integrations, or by removing Flank from your business at business.facebook.com under Settings, Integrations, Business apps. Disconnecting deletes the access token immediately and the data we read from the account within 30 days. Our data deletion page explains how to ask for deletion directly.
Tracking on our customers' websites
When a business uses Flank, its website carries Flank's tracking, served from a subdomain of that business's own domain. On that website the tracking records the pages a visitor views, the page they came from and the link parameters on it (including ad click identifiers such as gclid and fbclid), a random visitor id stored in a first-party cookie on that business's domain for up to 400 days, the contents of forms the visitor submits on that website (such as a name, email address, phone number or message), and, where the business has connected them, the orders and CRM stage changes that follow. Flank does not fingerprint devices and does not use any identifier other than that cookie. A visitor id on one business's website is never linked to a visit on another business's website.
Flank processes this data on the instructions of the business whose website you visited, so that business can see which ads brought it customers and can report those outcomes to the ad platforms it uses. That business is responsible for telling you about its tracking and for any consent its local law requires. If you want to see, correct or delete data about your visit, contact that business, and we will help it do so. If you cannot reach it, contact us and we will find it.
Text messaging
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
You opt in to text messages by checking the texting box on our contact form, by texting our business number first, or by asking us to text you. If you have opted in, we use your number only to send you the messages you signed up for. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, and get help by replying HELP or through the contact form on our website. Our terms of service describe the messaging program in full.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the providers that run Flank, and only so they can run it: Cloudflare (hosting and network), Neon (database), Stripe (billing), Google and Meta (only the conversion events a customer has asked us to send, to that customer's own ad accounts), and our telephone carrier (calls and texts). None of them may use it for anything else. We will also share information if the law requires it. We do not sell personal information.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while the account is open and for 90 days after it closes, then deleted. Data read from a connected Google Ads or Meta account is deleted within 30 days of the account being disconnected. Tracking data recorded on a customer's website is kept while that customer's account is open, because matching a sale to an ad clicked months earlier is the point of the service, and a customer can delete any of it at any time. Correspondence and business records are kept as long as we need them to run the business and meet legal obligations.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or ask for a copy. Reach us through the form on our website or write to the address below, and we will respond within 30 days. If you are a Flank customer, export and deletion are also in your account settings. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we honour them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects how we handle Google or Meta data, we will also email account holders before it takes effect.
